3rd Loloy Ruelan Memorial chessfest set this weekend

CEBU, Philippines -  Cebuano pawnpushers brace for another exciting battle via the 3rd Marcelo "Loloy" Ruelan Memorial Open Chess Tournament this weekend at the Deep Blue Chess Club located at the second level of SM City-Cebu.

Held in association with the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (CEPCA), the seven-round Swiss system competition offers over P10,000 in cash prize, with the champion getting the biggest chunk of P5,000. The second and third will receive P3,000 and P1,000, respectively, while the fourth place will get P500. The fifth to 10th will pocket P300 each.
