PC Nets, Faith Eagles and LW-IBI score in FCA caging
CEBU, Philippines - The PC Nets, Faith Tabernacle Eagles and the Living Word-International Bible Institute (LW-IBI) of Pastor Mel Caparros shackled separate foes in the 35-above category of the 4th Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Basketball League at the old Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu old campus gym along General Maxilom Avenue, this city.
Franz Dysam exploded with 25 points as the PC Nets ripped BHCF, 85-75, Axel Rabaya had 11 points to help the Faith Tabernacle Eagles pull off a 72-51 rout of JMO, while LW-IBI was in full command of the match from the start to whip LW-South, 80-67.
The PC Nets built a huge 47-30 lead after three quarters, then fended off a spirited endgame fightback by BCHF to seal the win.
The Faith Eagles, on the other hand, had a slow start, but launched a blistering 27-9 rally in the middle quarters to break the backs of JMO. In the same manner, LW-IBI used a decisive offensive in the windup to subdue LW-South.
In the other games, guest team R12 Coaches beat MCOF Basketbolista, 86-82, while the House of Hope (HOH) Slingers won by forfeiture over the Christian Workers Basketball Association (CWBA).
