Jumbo Plastic Linoleum backs up Cebuano triathletes

CEBU, Philippines - Two fast-rising Cebuano triathletes Aaliyah Ricci Mataragnon and Ralph Eduard So got a big boost on their dream to someday compete in the Olympics after one company pledged an all out support on their upcoming campaigns.

Mataragnon and So has just been sponsored by Jumbo Plastic Linoleum, a Filipino-owned company that manufactures PVC floor matting or linoleum.

Fresh from their successful outing in the recent Hongkong ITU Asian Cup, Mataragnon and So will be financially supported by Jumbo Plastic Linoleum starting this month as the two Cebuanos compete in the Batang Pinoy National Championships in Bacolod City.

Mataragnon and So made an impressive performance clinching podium spots in the annual international triathlon event.

Mataragnon, a student of Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus, bagged the silver medal in the girl’s 13-15 age group class with a 46:55 clocking, while So ended his bid in the boy’s class at third in 39:53. (FREEMAN)
