Hortelano chess tourney slated Nov. 7-8

CEBU, Philippines - Close to P10,000 in cash prize is up for grabs in the B.C. Hotelano Open Chess Tournament slated on November 7-8 at the Deep Blue Chess Club located at the second level of SM City-Cebu.

The champion in the 7-round Swiss system competition will take home P3,000, the second and third will pocket P2,000 and P1,000, respectively, while the fourth and fifth will get P800 and P600. Consolation prizes will also be given away to the sixth to 10th (P400), 11th to 16th (P300) and 17th to 20th (P200) placers.

Entry fee is pegged at P150.
