CFA bets all set for PFF Visayas bootfest today
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Football Association (CFA) is fielding in teams in all categories that will be contested in the 2013 PFF Festival of Football-Visayas starting today in San Carlos City.
The three divisions featured are the girls 14-under and the boys 11 and 13-under.
For CFA, the lone girls squad is composed of Alexa Ceniza and Jan Reese Jumawan of St. Theresa's College, Jan Anika Torrefiel of the Sotero Cabahug Forum for Literacy, Denise Lood of the University of San Carlos, Charica Obra of San Isidro Parish School, Itsuko Bacatan of Academ Institute, Arantxa Trebol, Steffanie Ruete of Tisa, Aubrey Velasquez of Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Samantha Toledo of the University of Southern Philippines, Samaeka Laoise Castillo of South Hills International School, Jecica Kato of Bright Academy, Gazline Ybañez of Subangdaku, and Krizza Mae Gallardo and Lyke Bordin.
Seeing action for the CFA side in the boys 11 are Louis Joaquin Buyco, John Mark Ponseca, Tristan Enad, Paul Vincent Mapula, Jacob Alexander Braun, Harold Cedillo, Vince Kristi Colina, Josh Rupert Asignar, Yuan Jose Mari Rena, Nathan Gamaliel Bajarias, Neil Jumao-as, Charles Unabia, Joseph Gerard Deller and Louie Arreglo II.
CFA’s 13-under squad, on the other hand, will be manned by CIC’s Jack Zambrano, Banilad’s Lloyd Soco, INHS’ Joshua Shields, Ateneo de Cebu’s Jopert Remullo, Leo Maquiling and Carlos Berln, St.Louis College’s Kihm Basiga, USC’s Dominique Jao, Paref-Springdale’s Mathew Garcia, Patrick Ganas and Pietre Dakay, USPF’s Ian Ouano, DBTC’s Mark Unabia, SHS-Hijas de Jesus’ Henderson Dihiansan and Philip Anthony Fernandez, Subangdaku’s Angelo Colina, Bright's Sean Kyle Go and Mikhail Ares.
The Cebuano booters will go up against players from Leyte, Negros Occidental, and Dumaguete City.
The tournament is also part of the selection process for the country’s representatives in future international events like the Asian Football Confederation Festival of Football in Thanh Long, Vietnam for the U-13 girls and in Sabah, Malaysia for the U-14 boys. (FREEMAN)
