Tour Ni Frank unfurls this Saturday

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the 11th Tour Ni Frank this Saturday behind Cebu Doctors' University at the Mandaue City reclamation area.

Considered as the longest existing cycling event here, this year’s edition organized by Frank Gatdula and Cebu Cycling will figure in two days of action split into two classes - B and C.

There will be no class A as Cebu's elite riders are seeing action in the Ronda Pilipinas 2013, which will also kick off on Saturday.

With this, only the B and C racers will do the criterium on Saturday and road race on Sunday.

For the criterium, class C entries will be dealing with 30 minutes of racing plus three laps, while the B division riders will have 40 minutes and three laps to race.

For the road race, the route will feature the treacherous Toledo-Balamban-Transcentral Highway in Busay.

Raldy Vios Construction will be providing transportation to riders who needed a ride going to Toledo. Assembly area will be in front of the Cebu City National Science High School in Brgy. Labangon at 6 am.

Cash prizes, medals and exciting giveaways will be given away to the top performers.

The rest of the participants may also go home with something from the event sponsors that include Vios Construction, Cycle Logic, Vellum Cycles, Creative Sounds DJ, PaulDP Creations and Kia Motors via raffle draw during the awarding ceremonies.
