Borbon sportsfest slated Jan. 16

CEBU, Philippines - The northern Cebu town of Borbon in association with the Susan Henry Group of Companies will hold a sports and socio-cultural events on January 16 at various venues in Brgy. Poblacion.

The sports-minded townsfolk of Borbon will compete in bicycle race, basketball, volleyball and fun run, all scheduled in daytime following an opening parade.

In the evening, they will be treated to some music and dancing including a singing contest of Cebuano songs and a special ball organized by the 'balikbayans' of Borbon.

The event is among the highlights of Borbon's annual town fiesta in honor of their patron St. Sebastian the Martyr that is celebrated every January 20.
