Stream closes in on CSCC E-League cage crown

CEBU, Philippines - Stream Ingenyouity bested the Teletech Titans, 70-60, to draw first blood in their best-of-three finals series for the 8th CSCC E-League basketball title last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Stream could seal its back-to-back championship bid with another victory over Teletech in Game 2 set for October 13.

Reigning MVP Sylvester Millevo unloaded 22 points on top of five rebounds and two assists, while Louie Ceasar Arroyo banged in 20 points, five rebounds and two blocks for Stream, which dominated the match from start to finish.

After taking a slim 17-15 lead early on, Stream sustained its momentum to establish a double-digit advantage after three quarters, 54-44.

Michael Recla contributed 10 points, five rebounds and four assists as Stream moved a win away from defending its throne.

Sherwin Emmanuele Resilla paced Teletech with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Lourenz Limpangog had 16 points and four rebounds in a losing effort.
