CEBU, Philippines - Defending champion Stream Ingenyouity and the Teletech Titans lashed back at their respective foes in convincing fashion to forge a rubbermatch in the best-of-three conference finals of the Sun Cellular-presented 8th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament last Saturday night at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Louie Ceasar Arroyo and Sylvester Millevo connived for 23 points and seven rebounds as Stream walloped the Aegis Vipers, 62-49, while Teletech rode on a stellar showing of Sherin Emmanuelle Resilla and Lourenz Limpangog to shackle the Sykes Pioneers, 59-43.
Michael Recla added 10 points and three assists for Stream, which pummeled Aegis right from the start on the way to establish a dozen-point lead at halftime, 35-23. Stream never looked back from there onwards.
On the other hand, Resilla sparkled with 22 points on top of 13 rebounds, while Limpangog banged in 18 markers, four rebounds and two assists for Teletech, which kept Sykes at bay after they raced to a sizzling 11-5 start. After closing the first half with a 28-16 advantage, Teletech sustained its momentum to come up with a 16-point romp.
