- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - The University of Cebu (UC) topped the table tennis and taekwondo events of the 12th Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) season.

UC remained undefeated in table tennis for 12 straight years. Their triumph was even made sweeter as they swept all golds at stake.

UC beat the University of the Visayas (UC) for the top spot in the men’s team competition and the University of San Carlos in the distaff side.

In the high school level, UC overpowered Don Bosco Technology Center in the boys division and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in the girls class.

UC got an added reason to celebrate as it dominated the tertiary taekwondo competition in both men and women's division. Its girls squad also won the secondary battle.

“I’m very happy that we remain undefeated for the past 12 years in table tennis. The achievement we've made in taekwondo is also worth celebrating for," said UC athletic director Bernard Ricablanca. (FREEMAN)
