Suzuki-BMR Racing bets sizzle in RUGP Series
CEBU, Philippines - The spirited riders of Team Suzuki-BMR Racing gamely braved the heavy downpour to collect three titles spiced up with two runner-up trophies in round 3 of the Regional Underbone Grand Prix (RUGP) Series recently at Sugbo grounds of the South Road Properties.
Suzuki-BMR’s top bet Mario Borbon, Jr. lived up to expectations as he overpoweringed Honda Motorworld’s Mark Capoy to rule the 4 AT scooter intermediate-expert combined class. Suzuki-BMR’s guest rider JayR Daguio wound up third.
Daguio still has something to be happy about as he went unstoppable in the expert open division using a Suzuki Raider 150 bike.
John Louis Chan, using a Suzuki Nex 115, delivered BMR's third crown after lording it over in the 4AT beginners scooter 130. He also placed second in the 100-125 beginners’superstock behind NCX’s RJ Commendador.
Lyndon Requilme saved Honda Motorworld from total humiliation by winning the intermediate 130 over Suzuki-BMR’s Borbon, while Requilme’s teammate Keken Cabahug landed at third.
CRT’s Zac Lyndon Caneda topped the novice 130cc class, while Petronas Mackyworks’ Fitz Gerald Sangual lorded it over in the 4AT scooter novice 160cc division. - THE FREEMAN
