CEBU, Philippines - The keenly-awaited Bohol Marathon 2012 will finally take place at the Bohol Beach Club in Panglao Island tomorrow.
Over 600 runners have already signed up for the event although the organizers are expecting more entries as registration is still open in the 5K category.
A big number of Cebuano long distance runners are joining the landmark 42-kilometer race in Bohol.
All eyes will surely be on Mendel Lopez and Philip Duenas, who will both see action in the full-marathon tilt. Both took part in last month's Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines.
In the distaff side, Mary Joy Tabal is among the female entries to watch out for.
It will be a tough challenge though for the Pinoys as the Kenyans as well as the other top runners of the country will also be taking part in the lung-busting competition.
Aside from the 42K and 5K, the event also features the 21K division.
Presented by the Bohol Runners Club in partnership with Smart Communications, the one-day tilt is also supported by Bohol Beach Club, Powerade, Summit Natural Drinking Water, PMI Colleges, The Generics Pharmacy, Baba Yap, Amazing Island Travel and Tours, Dumaluan Beach Resort, Abe Lim and the municipality of Panglao.
