- The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - With the Kenyans reaffirming their dominance for the nth time in the men's division, Mary Jane Beboso stole the spotlight in the distaff side but only because of the absence of Cebu's long distance running stars in yesterday's Value Charity, Make A Change (VCMC) Run starting and ending at Parkmall grounds.

With Mary Joy Tabal and Mary Grace de los Santos missing in action, Beboso frolicked her way to dominate the 21K women's open with the time of one hour, 47 minutes and 37.73 seconds.

Preciosa Sanchez came out second in 1:53:13.85 followed by Emeralde Hermosilla (1:56:02.86), Jane Ong (2:01:49.81) and Eri Miyamura (2:04:04.31).
