CIS to host int'l rugby tilt anew

CEBU, Philippines - Another international rugby action is set here via the Cebu International Rugby 10s Festival 2012 on November 17 at the Cebu International School (CIS) field in Brgy. Pit-os, this city.

After the Philippines-Singapore duel last summer, more teams are getting interested in coming over to Cebu and showcase their wares against the Pinoys.

Foreign teams from Australia, China and Malaysia have already confirmed their participation in the two-day joust.

China’s Beijing Aadvarks, Malaysia’s Royal Selangor Dalmatians and Hong Kong’s Tequila Mockingbirds, Tyloon Pigs ang HK Universities are also expected by the organizing Cebu City Rugby Football Club and the Visayan Rugby Football Union to join the battle.

The Manila Nomads, on the other hand, will be back to defend their title. They are expected to face tough challenge from the Cebu Dragons, Alabang Eagles, Manila Hapons, Manila Vipers, and MAAP.

The Cebu 10s Rugby Festival is the flagship event of the Cebu Dragons RFC that started in 2007.
