- EBV - The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - Aerl Genebraldo unloaded 32 points as the Calltek Trojans easily dismantled the Executive Boutique Lycans, 80-40, in the Sun Cellular-presented 8th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament last Saturday night at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Genebraldo, who also had nine rebounds and three assists, was backed up by Cliff Anthony Abellana with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Oliver Jade Flores added 10 points and three rebounds for Calltek, which ripped the game apart as early as in the first period, 24-7. The mighty Trojans pounded the hapless Lycans at will in the remaining three quarters to come up with a 40-point blowout.

Andrew Thomas John Hilvano was the lone bright spot for Executive Boutique with 21 points and three steals.

In the other games, the Convergys Wolves escaped with a 63-59 win over the ePerformax Reds, while the Odusee Rooz tamed the Teleperformance Lions, 74-70.

Ellison Rivera finished with 11 points, three rebounds and two steals, while Ibhar Je del Mar chipped in 10 markers for Convergys, which raced to a hot 18-11 start.

ePerformax pulled within just a hairline at halftime, 31-32, but Convergys struck back in the third canto to post an 11-point advantage, 51-40, heading into the final period. Convergys then neutralized ePerformax's offensive in the closing minute of the contest to eke out a three-point victory.

Floyd Dean Singco paced ePerformax with 20 points on top of a season-high seven steals and two assists.

Kenneth Robert Abrantes, on the other hand, cashed in 20 points, six rebounds and four steals, while Michael Cadiz banged in 18 markers on top of three blocks and two assists for Odusee, which used a sizzling third-quarter run to shackle Teleperformance.

Romnick Igot contributed 13 points, two rebounds and two assists for Odusee followed by Earl Abellanosa with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Marco Antonio Real exploded with a season-best 29 points spiced up with four rebounds, four assists and three steals but his singular offensive outburst went for naught as Teleperformance slumped to another defeat.
