CEBU, Philippines -  Aspiring hoopsters who want to further hone up their skills are in for another treat as Sunsport will hold a Post-Summer Basketball Training Camp starting this Saturday at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street, this city.

Veteran coach Jojo Romarate, who will supervise the longest and best-run cage camp in the Vis-Min region, said the training session will be held from 12 nn to 2 pm on Saturdays from July 21 to August 18.

"Just like what we have done in our past clinics, we will teach our students the fundamentals of the sport such as proper shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork and other related drills," said Romarate, presently the chief bench tactician of the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) Skyblazers.

"Above all the drills, we want to instill in them the value of hardwork, discipline and teamwork as well as the spirit of sportsmanship, which is the very essence of a well-rounded athlete," he added.

The camp is open to players aged 12 years old and above.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,000 inclusive of a jersey and the latest edition of Sunsport basketball.

"Aside from the sporting goods that we are giving away, we assure all participants that they will get their money's worth in terms of the quality of training will are going to render to them," said Romarate.
