Cebuano triathletes shine in CDO leg of NAGT Series

CEBU, Philippines - Tenggoy Colmenares led the cast of Cebuano triathletes who had a podium finish during the latest edition of the Century Tuna National Age-Group Triathlon (NAGT) Series recently in Cagayan de Oro City.

Colmenares topped the 45-49 category with the time of two hours, 23 minutes and 16 seconds, showing it all that he is ready to give it another try for glory under his age-group in the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 5 at the Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.

Power couple Noy and Amale Jopson also joined the event as part of their rigid preparations for the biggest triathlon event to hit Cebu.

Amale came out second in the 30-above class, while fellow Cebuana Michelle Aya Shlachter and Anna Maria "Annie" Neric placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Amale's husband Noy also wound up with a silver medal in the men's 35-39 class, while Jose Lim finished third in the 30-34 division. (FREEMAN)
