ALA-Cobra boxing series shifts to Dumaguete

CEBU, Philippines - Two Cebuano ring gladiators will go up against each other in another exciting edition of ALA Promotions and Cobra Energy Drink ‘Tunay na Lakas Boxing’ on July 21 in Dumaguete City.

Joseph Von Miñoza (13-3, 5KOs) will take centerstage in the main event against RJ Ano-os (7-3, 2KOs) of Liloan, Cebu in a non-title contest scheduled for 10 rounds.

Miñoza and Ano-os are both hungry for a win having fumbled in their previous fights in Japan. Miñoza lost via split decision to Japanese Akinori Kanai last April 21, while Ano-os fell prey to Takashi Mura by unanimous verdict last February 4.

In the supporting bouts, ALA Boxing Gym mainstays Melvin Gumban (9-0, 3KOs) and Roma Rate (7-0, 6KOs) will put their unbeaten records on the line against separate foes.

Gumban will go up against Aroel Romasasa (9-1, 5KOs) of General Santos City, while Roma Rate will slug it out with Dumaguete's hometown pride Lyndel Radoc (5-1, 1KO).

The rest of the card features Reymund Tabogon vs. Lito Dante; Pedro Balaba vs. Christian Saga; Rey Morales vs. Ian Teves; and Rolando Lingaolingao vs. Steven Recaborda.  - THE FREEMAN
