CEBU, Philippines - Driven by the overwhelming success of its maiden offering to over 200 health-conscious Cebuano individuals last month, the Cebu leg organizers of Coach Jim Saret's FitFil (Fit Filipino) Fitness Boot Camp will hold a Mini Camp at Parkmall. The first batch is scheduled from July 24 to August 25, while the second phase is on September 3 up to October 6.
"The outcome of our first FitFil camp in Cebu was very inspiring. We got a lot of positive feedbacks that their health and physical well-being have drastically changed for the better after joining the fitness camp. They are all happy and thankful to be part of such worthwhile activity. The satisfaction they get out of the efforts we made encouraged us to put up this mini camp," said FitFil Cebu coordinator Archt. Alan G. Choachuy.
"One distinct feature of our program is that we guarantee weight loss to all partricipants without changing their diet," added Choachuy in a press conference yesterday at Shabu-way Hot-Pot Cuisine, the co-presenter of the event along with Parkmall.
"We have so many fitness activities here such as aerobics and tai-chi on Sundays. We are supporting FitFil because its initiative bodes well with our concept of coming up with park-related activities while at the same time promoting a healthy lifestyle among our customers," said Parkmall Operations Manager Yael Sacris Torrejos.
Registration already started last Monday. Entry fee is pegged at P1,500 for one month (12-15 sessions) and P2,500 for those who opt for a two-month program that consists of 24-30 sessions. Registration forms are available at the customer service center of Parkmall.
Choachuy, however, said the camp is limited to only 50 to 100 entries on a first-come, first-served basis.
"The lesser the participants, the harder the workout," said Choachuy, himself one of the most admirable constestants of the 'Biggest Loser' Pinoy edition last year where he lost an amazing 124 pounds.
The training session will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Saturdays from 6 am to 8 am.
The campers will experience various forms of physical exercise as well as the newest workout techniques.
The FitFil Movement is an advocacy of Coach Jim Saret, who holds a degree in Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Brigham Young University in the United States.
