Cebuano cyclists to invade Bohol

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano pedal-pushers are up for another challenge with the staging of the Kia Ironlegs-5 cycling competition on July 28-29 in Bohol.

The three-stage event features the open division, executive B and C based on Cebu cycling classification and the all-Bohol age group.

Stage 1 will be an individual time trial covering 15 kilometers in Dauis via Panglao on the 28th.

Stage 2, which will take place on the same day, will be a road race covering 40K around Panglao island.

The third and final stage will be on the 29th. It is an 80-kilometer road race from Tagbilaran to Sagbayan Peak passing through the towns of Baclayon, Albur, Loay, Loboc, Bilar, Batuan, and Carmen.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,000 for executive B and C and P750 for the open and age-group categories.

The race briefing is scheduled at 4 pm on July 27 at the JCI Bohol Sandugo headquarters along No. 1 Graham Avenue in Tagbilaran City. (FREEMAN)
