CEBU, Philippines - Kenyan Douglas Mwiti and Cebuana long distance runner Jhean Andrin topped the 15K open category of the Red Cross 143:Volunteer Run for Humanity last Sunday in Lapu-Lapu City.
Mwiti clocked in 53 minutes and 23 seconds to clinch the men's title, while Andrin timed one hour, 11 minutes and 38 seconds to grab the women's crown.
Nestor Madula, Jr. trailed Mwiti in 1:04:28, while Mary Jane Beboso finished behind Andrin with the time of 1:15:15.
Preciosa Sanchez took the third spot in the women's division in 1:20:43, while Cebu's reigning triathlon queen Rochelle Tan came out fourth.
In the 5K action, Joel Delposo and Lovely Fe Andrin stamped their respective classes.
Another Andrin, Joel, dominated the boys 3K run, while Kisha Mae Delechos emerged as the fastest in the girls side.
