CEBU, Philippines - Jon-Jon Adlawan swiftly made an impact in his return to the 2012 MS Motosuit Motocross Series after claiming two championship titles in the six leg billed as the “2nd Mayor Butch Sepulveda Cup” over the weekend in the northern Cebu town of Borbon.

Adlawan upstaged the reigning ‘Rider of the Year’ Kimboy Pineda to dominate the expert division that saw Jubenile Abellar winding up third.

Adlawan made it a golden double as he also lorded it over in the pro category. Abellar finished second this time followed by Pineda.

Kimboy’s brother Jessie Pineda stole part of the show after he outsmarted Cebu's homegrown talent John Flores to rule the intermediate division.Mark Ganob took the third place honors.

Like Adlawan, Salmer Longakit also scored a twinkill via the local enduro and beginners open production.

Longakit defeated Ray Quirol for the top spot in the local enduro as JC Obligado landed third. Jogie Basco and Michael Tapic finished behind Longakit in the beginners open production.

Tapic though did not go home empty-handed as he bagged the novice crown. Basco and Martin Nuñez occupied the next two spots.

On the other hand, BJ Pepito came up with a 1-2 finish in the two categories he joined in. He came out the fastest rider in the mini 65cc division, but finished runner-up to PJ Cuesta in the mini 85cc class won by JP Cuesta.

The rest of the winners were Donkey Sanchez (novice open enduro), Kent Limpag (underbone), Jun Enriquez (executive A) and Noli Rom (executive C). - THE FREEMAN
