'T-Rex' wins Mr. Perfect Body tilt
CEBU, Philippines - T. Rex Rodriguez bested 19 other musclemen to emerge as the grand winner of the 2012 Mr. Perfect Body bodybuilding competition last Sunday at the Pacific Mall Activity Cente in Mandaue City.
Mark Padillo claimed the first runner-up honors, while Franz Sidy Opsima settled for third place.
Aside from trophies and medals, Rodriguez pocketed P5,000, while Padillo and Opsima took home P3,000 and P2,000, respectively, for their efforts.
Completing the top six placers were Gary Densing, Michael Ranises and Jecil Labajo. They all received cash prizes and medals.
The judges of the annual fitness contest were Ben Andales (Mr. Philippines 1978), Wesley Lim ( Mr. Philippines 1987), Henley Uy (licensed international bodybuilding judge), Noli Tolentino (Mr. Perfect Body 1987, Mr. Philippines 1990 and Mr. Bikini Open 1991) and Ely Deldig.
In the dance marathon, Edgar Campo Saducas and Jelly Cabaral Hombrebueno were crowned as Zumbathon King and Queen 2012.
The other sidelight of the affair was the awarding of Perfect Body's biggest losers in Ric Anthony Bugtay, who lost 74.7 pounds in eight months, and Christian Yap, who lost 80.5 pounds in one year.
