Inter-Club football semifinals on today

CEBU, Philippines - The Don Bosco United hurdled its last elimination round assignment against Southwestern University (SWU), 5-3, but still fell short in its semifinal bid in the men's open division of the 12th CAFC Cebu Interclub Football Cup yesterday at the University of San Carlos-Technological Center field in Brgy. Talamban, this city.

Don Bosco and Queen City United finished with identical 1-1-1 win-loss-draw records, but QCU booked the remaining semis spot in bracket B by virtue of a higher goal difference, 1-0, against the Bosconians.

QCU will face next ERCO, while Hiroshi battles San Roque FC in the other Final Four showdown.

In the boys 17-under, Spingdale will go up against Abellana National School/Pomeroy, while Cebu Team will slug it out with either the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu or the Ormoc FC.

SHS-AdC, for its part, is already assured of three semifinal berths.

SHS-AdC rolled into the next round of the players 10 division after pulling off a 3-1 victory over Barili FC at the PAREF-Springdale field.

SHS-AdC still has to wait for the result between Los Amigos and USC-North to determine its placing.

In bracket B, the top squad is Count FC followed by Canduman.

In the boys 12 category, SHS-AdC topped bracket B with a clean 4-0 slate followed by Dinamo FC with two wins, one draw and one loss.

SHS-AdC also stormed into the boys 14 semis together with Canduman, ANS/Pomeroy and Los Amigos at the San Roque Parish field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City. (FREEMAN)
