CEBU, Philippines - It's all systems go for the Congressman Red Durano Triathlon Series on May 27 at the Sea Breeze Resort in Luyang, Carmen.
The three-leg event is part of the Cebuanos' preparation for the keenly-awaited Ironman Philippines set on August 5 in Shangri-la Resort and Spa in Mactan Island.
The registration fee is pegged at P500, but those who will enlist until 5:30 am on the race day will be assessed with P600.
The second leg is set on June 3 at Mangudlong Beach in San Francisco, Camotes. Entry fee is pegged at P1,000 inclusive of a ferry ride to Consuelo, Camotes.
The final leg will be on June 24 at Sands Beach Resort in Danao City with a registration fee of P500.
All three legs will feature a sprint and mini-sprint distances plus a duathlon competition.
The sprint event will have a 750m swim, 20K bike and 5K run, while the duathlon features a 2.5K run, 20K bike and another 2.5K run.
All the finishers will receive a race jersey, while the top performers in each age-group will get a medal.—(FREEMAN)
