CEBU, Philippines - The ever daring John Flores thrilled his fans to the max after he stunned a bunch of seasoned riders en route to a double victory in the fourth leg of the 2012 MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as the "1st Barangay Panugnawan Motocross Cup" the other day in the northern Cebu town of Medellin.
Flores hopes to duplicate his winning formula as he plunges into action anew via the the Congressman Benhur Salimbangon Cup, which revs off today in Curva, Medellin.
Flores outsmarted the likes of Ambo Yapparcon and Dondon Yuson to reign supreme in the experts division.
Flores also lorded it over in the intermediate class. Donkey Sanchez took the second place honors, while Martin Nunez came in third.
Yuson gamely bounced back to snatch the pro open crown as Yapparcon and Pepo Rubi, the living legend of local motocross, occupied the next two spots.
Sanchez also had something to celebrate after he bagged the open enduro and novice open production titles.
Sanchez bested Ray Quirol and Alex Abalo for the top spot in open enduro, while Jougie Basco and Roscel Gungob finished behind Sanchez in the novice open production.
Like Flores and Sanchez, Quirol also snared a double championship through the local enduro over Abalo and JC Obligado and the beginners open production over James Duroy and Rolly Dela Calzada.
Basco, on the other hand, topped the underbone competition.
The rest of the category winners were Gungob (executive A), Jun Enriquez (executive B), Jonathan Cuyos (executive C), BJ Pepito (mini 65cc), and Denmar Supatan mini 85cc). (FREEMAN)
