FCIC shot into limelight after it stunned Hiroshi FC, one of Cebu’s most established squads, via a 3-2 cliffhanger only to be easily dismantled by Camella FC.
In a spectacular display of offensive force, Camella FC piled up a commanding 4-0 advantage at halftime.
Cristito Pino broke the ice of the match at the 21st, Arnel Simcon then fired back-to-back goals at the 24th and 25th before Jovan Rosco found the back of the net at the 29th.
J Paquibot ended FCIC's long scoring drought at the 50th, but that was its only bright moment as Xamson Nyi completed a hat-trick at the 54th, 60th and 70th to seal Camella's six-point romp.
It was a double whammy for FCIC as it was also badly beaten by Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 10-2, in the boys 17 division.
In bracket B of men's open action, San Roque FC pounded out a 3-1 victory over Don Bosco United FC.
Over at PAREF- Springdale School, Team Dinamo bounced back from an opening day loss and vented its ire on Canduman FC-B, 13-0 in the boys 12 class.
Dinamo now stands with an even 1-1 win-loss record, while Canduman-B suffered its second straight loss.
Dinamo, however, missed a double victory after it bowed to Canduman FC, 6-0, in the players 10 class.
At the San Roque Parish field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City, the Abellana National School-Pomeroy logged its second win in boys 17 after a 10-0 whitewash of the Don Bosco Razkals, while the Mandaue Technical Institute slammed the SC Warriors, 4-0.
In the 40-above class, ERCO FC outsmarted Queen City United-A, 2-1, while Hiroshi pulled off a 3-1 triumph over Baliant Hawk United. (FREEMAN)
