Siso grabs two golds in Bohol netfest
CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's tennis princess Sally Mae Siso reaffirmed her dominance in her age-group category by grabbing two golds in the Bohol leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Circuit the other day in the municipality of Ubay.
Siso outlasted fellow Cebuana Hannah Grace Espinosa, 6-2, 6-4, to nail the championship in the girls 18-under division.
Even if Siso slowed down a bit in the second set, Espinosa still couldn't get the better of the PRISAA national champion.
Siso and Espinosa, however, set aside their rivalry as they later teamed up to clobber the tandem of Grace Melchor ad Shane Batao, 8-1, and rule the girls doubles event.
Three other Cebuano players Shyne Villareal, Marc Enriquez and Janel Pintor settled for only silver medals.
Villareal lost to Immaville Gervacio, 6-1, 6-4, in the girls 14-under final, while Enriquez and Pintor bowed to Angelo Esguerra and Dave Mosqueda, 8-7 (7-5) in the boys 18-under doubles final. (FREEMAN)
