CEBU, Philippines - The Prime Asia Pawnshop-UV Lancers held virtual clinic in its 112-82 massacre of the Gaisano Capital Tisa-UC Webmasters to complete a four-game sweep in the first round of elimination in the 6th CESAFI Partner's Cup men's basketball tournament last Sunday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

Except for a 25-27 deficit in the first quarter, Prime Asia went berserk on the offensive end in the second period where they launched a devastating 31-11 attack to break the game wide open.
Aside from having an edge in manpower, Prime Asia also shot and defended well, forcing Gaisano Tisa to commit a spate of turnovers which they translated into fastbreak points.
Big man Wowie Escocio and small forward Vincent Mendoza paced Prime Asia with 16 points apiece, while high school teammates Chris Perolino and Raffy Oktubre chipped in 25 points combined.
Four Gaisano Tisa players cashed in double figures, but they did not get much from ace shooter Arvin Kim Gomez, whose outside sniping gone sour to finish with a paltry five points.
Rookie Noel Villanueva topscored with 15 points for Gaisano Tisa, which slipped to its third defeat against a solitary win. Brian Qunton Heruela added 12 markers, while Robinson Mohammad and Eddie Cabahug each scored 11 in a losing cause.
In the first game, Lion Tiger Katol/USJ-R Jaguars zapped KIA Motors/CIT-U Wildcats, 88-78, to end its first round campaign with a 3-1 win-loss record. KIA Motor fell to 2-2.
