Pachanga douses QCU's hot streak in style
CEBU, Philippines - The planned revenge turned out to be a very humbling experience for the Queen City United FC booters after they were blanked by Pachanga FC, 4-0, at the start of second round in Division 2 of the 2012 United Football League (UFL) yesterday at the University of Makati.
Like QCU, Pachanga also changed its lineup, making it even fiercer.
Pachanga, which tamed the Cebu-based squad by just a hairline,1-0, during the first round of elimination, closed the first half with a 2-0 advantage then fired two more goals to ice its masterful demolition of the Cebuano visitors.
Coach Mario Ceniza said his wards had several chances to score but did not have the finishing touches. He admitted though that his wards are way below the level of skills and experience of the Pachanga players.
“We concede that Pachanga is definitely a very strong team and they are determined to move up to the first division of UFL,” said Ceniza.
Meanwhile, The FREEMAN learned that the proposal for the top two squads of Division 2 to advance into the elite Division 1 will not likely take effect this season.— (FREEMAN)
