CEBU, Philippines - Kenyan Abraham Missos and Cebuana Cristy Sevilleno-Tutor stamped their respective classes in the premiere 21K division of the 4th Run for Bebe yesterday at Parkmall grounds in Mandaue City.
Missos clinched the men's open crown after crossing the finish line with the best time of one hour and 14 seconds, while Tutor reigned supreme in the distaff wide with a 1:40 clocking.
Missos was trailed by Noel Tillor with the time of 1:16:26, while Adonis Singson placed third in 1:19:41.
Tutor, on the other hand, was just four seconds ahead of fellow veteran runner Madelyn Carter, while the little known Virgie Parajenog wound up the third in 1:52.11.
In the medical category, the top three finishers were Jay Yosores (1:32:32), Michael Claudio (1:32:33) and Willie Estepa (1:46:42) in the men's division and Helen Palma (1:51:36), Carmel Angel Yu (2:13.11) and Jennifer Tabales (2:14.40) in the women's class.
In the 12K action, Jobert Carolino (41:41) bested Robert Daang (41:43) for the top spot in the men's division, while Alvirg Busa came out third in 43:42.
In the distaff side, Mary Grace de los Santos took the first place honors with the time of 49:48 followed by Marisol Abad (52:29), and Hazel Busa (1:12:53).
Neil Anthony Nacario (54:48) and Lheslen Abella (54:41) came out the fastest in their respective divisions in the 12K medical class.
Nacario was trailed by Dave Gallosia (59:23) and Brandon Bon (1:04:45), while Coleen Digman (1:08:48) and Gemma Custodio (1:18:41) completed the top three winners in the women's side.
The top three in the men's 6K run were Joel Delposo (22:27), Joel Batarilan (22:39) and Jether Bada (23:04). In the women's class, the Andrin sisters Lovely (27:05), Jhean (27:16) and Cherry (27:19) scored a clean sweep.
In the 6K medical category, Lloyd Ypon (28:04) and Carissa Fabro (34:34) dominated their respective divisions. — with Caecent N. Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
