JS five, Autolab makes pummel foes in Sunrisers Hoopla

 CEBU, Philippines - JS Contractor and Autolab walloped separate foes in the 2012 Sunrisers Basketball League at the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Sports Complex in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

JS Contractor clobbered Knickerbockers, 102-70, while Autolab slammed Virginia Foods, 83-63, to set a positive tone for their respective title campaigns.

A total of eight teams are seeing action in the tournament. The other contending squads are Mawin's Kitchenette, University of Cebu (UC)-Banilad Teachers, Raddison Blu, Honey Grace and RGMA-7.

They will play in a single round robin format, with the top four teams advancing into the crossover semifinals. The survivors will then clash for the championship in a winner-take-all affair, while the losers will battle for third place.

The champion will take home P5,000, while the second and third will pocket P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
