All set for fifth Governor's Cup horse show and competition

CEBU, Philippines - Top cowboys from all over the country will once again converge in the Queen City of the South to showcase their horse riding skills in the fifth season of the Governor's Cup Horse Show and Competition on March 23 to 24 in Talisay City.

The three-day extravaganza organized by the Cebu Equine Breeders and Sportsmen Association (CEOBSA) will also feature the winners of last year's North and South qualifying races in the province of Cebu.

Aside from the host CEOBSA and the Cebu Provincial Cowboys, the other participating clubs include the Malaybalay Horsemen Association, Davao Horse Club, Impasug-ong Horsemen Association, Cagayan de Oro City Horsemen Association, Bohol Horse Club, El Kabayo Equestrian Center of Clark, Pampanga and Rodeo Masbateño.

The other highlights of the affair are the tartanilla decorating contest and the agro-trade fair.

Presented by the province of Cebu under the stewardship of Governor Gwendolyn F. Garcia, the events is supported by San Miguel Corporation, Jollibee, Coca-Cola, KIA Motors, Nature's Spring, Gatorade and Holcim   - (THE FREEMAN)
