Jocabz, Grand & Jae start strong in FYA caging

CEBU, Philippines - Steven Jocabz and Grand & Jae got off to sizzling starts in the 4th F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) basketball tournament last Wednesday night at the Brgy. Tisa covered court.

Steven Jocabz whipped Leo Lauron, 93-75, while Grand & Jae escaped with a 78-71 victory over CMK Trading.

Guard Toper Marata led Steven Jocabz with 22 points. Dexter Caballero also hit well from the field to chip in 16 markers.

Steven Jocabz actually survived a 42-point explosion by Lauron's Raul Cuyme and Ranel Bontuyan.

In the other game, former UC mainstay Daniel Enriquez and Ip-ip Torrelisa paced Grand & Jae with 29 points combined. Nico Laborte topscored for CMK Trading with 22 points, while Donddon Cadungog has 11 in a losing cause.
