CEBU, Philippines - The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologts-Philippines (AACE-PC) is organizing the 1st Power of Prevention Run for G.O.O.D. on March 18 at The Terraces of Ayala Center-Cebu.
G.O.O.D. stands for goiter, obesity, osteoporosis and diabetes - diseases that adversely affect the health of millions of Filipinos.
The race will be followed by free blood sugar, cholesterol and bone density screenings with weight, blood pressure and thyroid checks by the groups member-endocrinologists.
To further drum up the event, the organizers will hold a press conference at 1 pm tomorrow at the Linea Restaurant and Lounge located at JP Morgan and Chase Building in Cebu IT Park.
ALA champion boxers Donnie "Ahas" Nietes (WBO light flyweight), Milan "El Metodico" Melindo (WBO Intercontinental flyweight), Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista (IBF International featherweight) and AJ "Bazooka" Banal (WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight) are expected to grace the affair.
