Cosi wins Jancor Post 9-ball tourney

CEBU, Philippines - Antonio Cosi of Ormoc City edged out the equally-tough Butch Agosto by the slimmest of margins to clinch the championship of the 2nd Jancor Post 9-Ball Tournament at the 138 Mall Billiards Center along Colon Street, this city.

After a closely-fought battle that thrilled the spectators to the bones, Cosi prevailed over Agosto by just a hairline, 8-7, in their race-to-8 final to take home the P12,000 champion's purse. Cosi got P7,000 for his effort.

In the battle for third place, Anthony Cortez streaked past Allan "Colonnade" Milan also via a 6-5 cliffhanger to pocket P4,000. Milan received P3,000 for placing fourth in the five-day tilt. - THE FREEMAN
