Adlawan bags double in MS Motosuit event in Liloan

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Jon-jon Adlawan opened the years with a big bang by bagging two titles in the 2012 MS Motosuit Motocross Series – the Barangay Captain Manuel Wagas Cup in Jubay, Lilo-an.

Adlawan made up for his absences in the series last year that caused him the overall title by winning the premiere pro open and expert classes.

Adlawan overpowered veteran Pepo Rubi in both classes while the third spot in the pro-open went to the returning Jubenile Abellar and the improved Cyril Tariman in the expert class.

Like Adlawan, Mark Ganob and Rey Quirol also posted double victories each.

Ganob bagged the intermediate division title over Martin Nunex and Ayen Ledesma in the novice open class.

Quirol, for his part, outsmarted Rolly de la Calzada in the beginners open production and Jun Quirol in the local enduro.

Rey Quirol, however, missed a triple victory with Donkey Sanchez outmaneuvering him for the open enduro top spot.

On the other hand, last year’s top peewee rider, BJ Pepito is looking at dominating the mini 65 cc action this year after topping the first leg over two other Pepitos – Reb-Reb and Regie.

The small but terrible BJ Pepito also got a bonus by placing third in the mini 85 cc class won by Andrei Gastador.

Without BJ Pepito in the peewee class anymore, Velo Leonard came out the top rider.

Top executive A rider of 2011 Jun Enriquez was outsmarted by J Nielsen in his favorite class this time, but the former still went home happy after winning the executive B title.

The executive C division saw Jerry Sicad on top over Nanding Pepito as Tata Omoli wound up third.

Underbone riders also had a good time with Willie Borces reigning supreme followed by Kent Limpag and Norly Abacation occupying the next two spots.  (FREEMAN)
