CEBU, Philippines - Mary Joy Tabal and Kenyan Josphat Kiptanui emerged as the biggest winners in the 2nd Sinulog Fun Run yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Tabal bagged the women's crown after completing the five-kilometer race in 19 minutes and 30.10 seconds.
Former road running queen Christy Sevilleno-Tutor placed second with the time of 20:12.14 followed by Lovely Fe Andrin (20:43.34) and Madelyn Carter (20:52.95).
Rounding up the top 10 finishers were Marichu Luterte (21:14.04), Cherry Andrin (21:15.51), Jhean Andrin (22:04.53), Crizel Diongson (22:30.43), Lynle Cardenas (22:39.25) and Retchen Batiancila (22:42.02).
In the men’s side, Kiptanui took the top honors with a 15:54.65 clocking.
Mendel Lopez ended up second in 16:29.25, while Jobert Carolino settled for third in 16:39.25. The next two spots were occupied by Robert Daang (16:46.06) and Joel Delposo (16:55).
The sixth to 10th placers were Philip Dueñas (16:56.25), Aldrin Agang (16:56.70), Adonis Singson (17:05.47), Ian Bernido (17:10.53) and Raymart Montecalvo (17:21.71). (FREEMAN)
