CEBU, Philippines - Ex-pro Danny Aying exploded with 36 points as RC Goldine/My Phone thrashed RCAF of team owner Romeo Faunillan, 109-90, to win the championship of the 2011 Jun Pe Cup basketball tournament the other night at the Quiot covered court.
Aying was heavily backed up by guards Michael Arias and Lito Navarro who banged in 33 points combined. Adding strength to their offense were the 13-point contribution each of Baltazar Jueves and Glenn Birao.
Earlier, the AC Sports settled for third place after scoring a 92-83 victory over LB Farm.
Marvin Tundag topscored for AC Sports with 20 points even as commercial veterans Alex Cainglet and Carry Sanchez added 14 markers apiece. Ope Abellana paced LB Farm with 25 points.
