- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - A free clinic, exhibition matches and derby will spice up the formal launching of the refurbished Consolacion tennis courts on November 26.

Four hard courts and four clay courts will be made available soon for the Cebuanos to play and train on, thanks to the efforts of the Cebu International Tennis Centre, Inc..

The ribbon-cutting and blessing of the courts will be led by Consolacion Mayor Teresita P. Alegado along with the officials of the CITCI and OTR.

An exhibition match between the 26th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games medallist Johnny Arcilla and Hong Kong’s Jason Sankey will follow right away.

Arcilla is scheduled to play in this year’s PCA Open the following day but has already committed to grace the event for his fellow Cebuanos.

A doubles exhibition game will also take place featuring Cebuano Kennex Abadia and RJ Abarquez against Hong-Kong's Graeme Foster and Adrian Montesinos.

The clinic will be held in the afternoon.

Aside from the current trainees of CITCI numbering to 130, other interested individuals are welcome to join the clinic for aspiring netters aged five to 18 years old.

For registration, one may check out CITCI’s facebook account or contact Nestor Toledo at 0922-9488739 or 0917-9118779.After the clinic, there will be a tennis derby where everyone is invited to watch. (FREEMAN)
