Don Bosco dominates CESAFI secondary football

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Don Bosco Technological Center outlasted Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 3-1, to snatch the secondary championship in football event of the 2011 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

DBTC of coach Glenn Ramos nailed its first goal at the 65th courtesy of Christian Agot.

A minute later, Val Calvo found the back of the net to give the Boscoanians a 2-0 lead.

SHS-AdC’s Kyle Arrieta grabbed part of the limelight by producing a goal at the 78th, but that was the best they could muster as Yves Russel Caballero sealed Don Bosco's triumph with another goal at the 78th.

It was DBTC's second straight title after the Milo Little Olympics. They are hoping to score a treble as they see action in the Cebu City Olympics.

In the battle for third place, the University of Southern Philippines Foundation bested the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 3-1.
