GUV Cup in Sibonga

CEBU, Philippines - After an opening day setback against Carcar in 7th Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup, men’s defending champion Talisay City will try make up as the Cluster 1 battle resumes today at the Bonifacio R. Bacaltos Sports Centrum in Sibonga.

Talisay City will try to fend off the rest of their opponents in order to enter to the cluster championships and to have a sure quarterfinal seat.

The Talisay spikers will face Minglanilla, San Fernando, Sibonga, Argao and City of Naga.

In the distaff side, the Talisay belles aim to sweeping all their opponents to retain the women’s cluster tiara.

In the elementary division, Carcar City will try to add another mark in their win column after pummeling Argao in the opening game.

They will face Talisay City, Minglanilla and Sibonga.

The GUV Cup is the biggest and grandest volleyball tournament in the country. (FREEMAN)
