CEBU, Philippines - The Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Cebu Inc. will be staging their very first running event dubbed as “A Run for a Child’s Brighter Future” this October 23 at the Sumilon Road of the Cebu Business Park.
The PMAP run will feature 3 kilometers, 5-K and 12-K distances.
Even if two other races are also scheduled on that day, which are the Saint Peter Life Run and the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) run, organizers are positive that they will attract good numbers of participants for the run that will serve as a fund raising event to help less fortunate students go to school.
The money that will be collected will help scholars from the Tulay National High School in Minglanilla. It will also be used to build comfort rooms for the school and donate goods for the Department of Social Welfare Department (DSWD) home for the girls in Cebu.
Cash prizes will await the top performers in each category. There will also be a raffle for all the participants during the awarding ceremony.
Registration fee is pegged at P350 for the 12-K, P250 for 5-K and 3-K run that entitles runners to race kits, a singlet and raffle entry.
Registration sites are at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC), RUNNR in Ayala Center Cebu and at Toby’s Sports at the SM City Cebu. (FREEMAN)
