CEBU, Philippines - Mendel Lopez returned to competitive action on a bright note, while Christy Sevilleno-Tutor had another walk-in-the-park triumph in the women's division of the "Dagan Sa Kabataan" yesterday morning at the Terraces grounds of Ayala Center-Cebu.
Lopez topped the men's 15-kilometer race in 52 minutes and 46.29 seconds. Sherwin Manaquil came in second with a 52:56.12 clocking followed by Adonis Singson in 53:29.24.
Tutor, on the other hand, bagged the women's crown in one hour, seven minutes and 19 seconds clocking.
Madelyn Carter placed second in 1:08.08, while Mary Jane Beboso wound up third in 1:10.22.
In the women's 5K battle, Mary Joy Tabal reigned supreme in 19:14.89. Ane Andrin and Keisha Mae Delicios occupied the second and third spots in 20:46.56 and 21:10.82, respectively.
Philip Duenas, Tabal’s running buddy, emerged the fastest in the men's 5K with the time time of 10:05.25, just two seconds ahead of Joel Delposo.
Robert Daang and Lovely Fe Andrin were the fastest in the 3K run.
Daang won the men’s side in 8:04.12, while clocked in 10:32.90.
The Triton Running Club ruled the inter-club competition over Duen Alien Team A and B. – (FREEMAN)
