Milo set to hold int'l footballfest
CEBU, Philippines - To help support the rise in interest in football brought about by the exploits of the Philippine Azkals, Milo is holding an International Football Festival on December next year.
This event shall be a venue for the products of the Milo Little Olympics to showcase their wares in an even bigger stage.
Milo Sports Executive Pat Goc-ong pushed this sporting event.
“These kids already idolized the Azkals for the feat, the fame and glory that they gave back to our country. I believe that it’s already time to let these kids experience the international football competition,” he said.
Goc-ong said that the top two finishers in the elementary and secondary divisions of the Milo Little Olympics National Finals next year will be the country’s representatives.
They will be competing against teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Don Bosco Technology Center coach Glenn Ramos considers this development as a ray of light for all the football hopefuls, who want to taste what an international competition is all about. (FREEMAN)
