Quiot rules dancesport meet

CEBU, Philippines - Quiot dominated the sixth leg of this year’s Cebu City Barangayan Dancesport Competition by hauling five golds, a silver and a bronze at the Cogon-Pardo sports complex the other day.

Quiot got three golds, a silver, and a bronze from the modern standard and two from the Latin discipline.

Quiot’s golds from the modern standard discipline came from Maria Daniza and Dennis Michael Arenas through the junior closed bronze event, Marie Lou Obiso and Nelson Sanchez in the youth closed bronze and open routine.

Arenas also got two other golds with another partner, Jela Claire Almeda in the Latin youth closed and open routines.

Zapatera trails with three golds and three silvers while Mambaling placed third with a 3-1-4 haul.

The other participating barangays, which got medals in the latest dance floor battle were San Nicolas with a gold, two silvers and a bronze, Buhisan with a gold and a silver, Lahug and Inayawan with a silver and three bronzes apiece and Cogon Ramos with a silver. – THE FREEMAN
