Tour of Bohol set in September
CEBU, Philippines - Bohol once again beckons for Cebu’s cyclists.
This as the Tour of Bohol is set to kick off in the town of Loay on September 24.
This event is shorter than the recent Kia Ironlegs and the Cebuanos are hoping to duplicate their success in next month’s race.
The Tour of Bohol will have two stages. Stage 1 will be a 90-kilometer event while the second stage is a 20-kilometer individual time trial in the town of Bilar.
Former national cycling team members are expected to take part in the event to give it more color.
The male riders will be grouped under three categories and there will also be an open category for women.
The event is mainly backed by Rep. Arthur Yap of the 3rd District of Bohol along with Explore Bohol.
It is also backed by Aboitiz Power, Unilab Active Health, Pocari Sweat, Timex, Bike King, Orbea Bicycles, Corratec Bicycles, Corima Racing Wheels, Knog, Polar Insulated Bottles, Weekend Warrior and the Triathlon Association of the Philippines.
