Boysen Paints, Uni-Tec stay unbeaten in UABC

CEBU, Philippines - League front-runners Boysen Paints and Uni-Tec strolled to their third straight wins in the continuing action of the United Architects Basketball Club (UABC) Season 5 - 2nd Corporate Cup at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) gym.

In another spectacular display of hardcourt versatility, Michael Cinco pumped in 13 points on top of 10 assists, nine rebounds and two steals as Boysen Paints trounced Multi-Line, while the wide-bodied Antonio "Jay-R" Decatoria, Jr. also had an explosive showing, charting in 18 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and three steals in Uni-Tec's 33-point massacre of Davies Paints, 86-53.

After closing the first period with a 27-16 advantage, Boysen Paints did not give Multi-Line some breathing space on the way to keep its unbeaten record intact.

The same goes to Uni-Tec, which did not looked back after enjoying a 20-10 edge in the first five minutes of play.

Oliver Tan banged in 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals as Uni-Tec recorded what is by far by most lopsided victory in this five-mount tournament.

The outcome of the match was already a foregone conclusion when the red-hot Uni-Tec chargers mounted an imposing 22-point bulge, 58-36, heading into the final quarter.
