Qualfon Fun Run slated August 7

CEBU, Philippines - Qualfon celebrates its fifth year in the Queen City of the South with a Fun Run on August 7 at the Asiatown IT Park in Brgy. Apas, this city.

Although there is another race that will take place on that day, the organizers pushes through with the event as symbol of the company’s strength throughout this year.

Three race lengths will be featured : 3K, 6K and 15K. Last year they had 3K, 5K, 10K and 16K under a different venue.

“We don’t want to duplicate last year’s route and divisions so it wouldn’t be boring for the runners especially those who joined the first one. We are celebrating our fifth year here and we want to make this running event a different one as well,” said Qualfon’s Lea Mae Torres in a press conference at Mooon Café yesterday.

As they celebrate this milestone, the top three runners in each division will pocket cash prizes plus either plaques or trophies.

The biggest delegation, liveliest group as well as the youngest and oldest runners and the best in costume will also be given special prizes.

Instead of July 29, the deadline for the submission of entries have been extended until August 5.

Registration fee is pegged at P300 for the 3K and 6K and P350 for the 15K. Students and senior citizens will get discounts.

Entry forms are available at the Cebu City Sports Center, Bodytone, Runnr in Ayala and at Qualfon located at Skyrise 3 building at the Asiatown IT Park. - THE FREEMAN
