Y101 Armscor Run yesterday at the Asiatown IT Park in Brgy. Apas, this city.

Lopez finished the race in 33 minutes and 47 seconds, way ahead of his closest pursuer Ian Bernido who clocked in 35:11. Philip Duenas wound up third with the time of 36:02.

In the distaff side, Mary Joy Tabal took home the crown in 39:36. Jhean Andrin placed second in 45:52 followed by Mary Ann Canape in 49:09.

On the other hand, former road running queen Leizl Lumindas-Gitaruelas topped the 10K race with a military obstacle.

Gitaruelas completed the challenge in 49:09.61. Little-known Kisha Mae Delchos came in second with the time of 49:36.67 followed by Meriam Miranda in 51:30.46.

In the men’s side, Jobert Carolino got the top spot in 36:45.87 followed by Riez Enriquez (36:48.69) and Demetrio Rosales (39:12.90).

In the 5.01K category, Joel Delposo came out the fastest in 17:29.55, while Jess Gonzaga and Reprinel Banzon occupied the next two spots in 17:31.15 and 17:50.30, respectively.

The top three in the women's bracket were Aiza Suaybagio, Lovely Andrin and Krizel Diongson.

In the 1.01K battle, Jorry Ycong (5:39.89) and Lorna Olarita (7:08.53) topped their respective divisions. - THE FREEMAN
